Arabic text decorator

Type a name or a phrase and pick from geometric and floral decorations generated from 115 symbols, or from the calligraphic kashida.

Kashida

Inserted after the name of Allah and of the Prophet

Decorations
Type something to see the decorations.

Everything is standard Unicode, so the decorations work in an Instagram, X or WhatsApp bio. Some older fonts will not show every sign.

How it works

Unicode has no “bold” or “script” Arabic alphabet the way it does for Latin, which is why most sites fall back to wrapping your text in emoji. We build on two things instead: the kashida (the calligrapher’s elongation), applied by its real rule, and geometric and floral ornament generated from 115 symbols across ten composition patterns — as in Islamic ornament, where the motif is an infinite field rather than a fixed list. No mushaf marks are used as decoration.

A kashida is not just a dash

Elongation is only valid after a letter that joins to the one following it. Six letters — ا د ذ ر ز و — never join forward, and a kashida placed after one of them renders as a floating, detached dash. This tool knows the rule and only stretches real joins, which is why the word “دار” is unchanged no matter how high you set the level.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does it work on Instagram and X?

Yes. Everything is standard Unicode, so the decorations show up in a bio, a post or a message. Some very old fonts will not render every sign.

Why are there no Quranic decorations?

The ayah brackets ﴾ ﴿, the rub el hizb ۞ and the sajdah sign ۩ are marks of the mushaf. Wrapping a social handle in them treats scripture as ornament, so they were removed deliberately. ﷺ and ﷻ are a different matter — ordinary respectful usage rather than decoration — and remain available as an option.

What are ﷺ and ﷻ?

Two Unicode characters that each render as a whole phrase: ﷺ “ṣallā Llāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam” and ﷻ “jalla jalāluhu”. You can have them inserted automatically.

Is my text stored?

No, everything runs in your browser.
