Arabic typing tutor
Progressive lessons from the home row to full sentences, with live speed and accuracy.
Start typing…
We teach the Arabic 101 layout — the one your operating system ships — so what you learn here works on any keyboard. You do not need to switch your system language: we read the physical key you press and map it ourselves.
How it works
We start on the home row where the fingers rest, then the upper row, the lower row, all the letters, and finally real words and sentences. That is touch-typing order, not alphabetical order: ا ب ت are scattered across three rows, and teaching them alphabetically tells your fingers nothing.
You do not need to switch your system language
Most learners have no Arabic printed on their keycaps and have never added the Arabic layout to their operating system. So we read the physical key you actually press and map it ourselves, showing the keyboard on screen with the next key lit. You learn finger positions on the keyboard you own — and the layout is the same Arabic 101 your OS ships, so everything transfers.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an Arabic keyboard?
No. We read the key you press on your Latin keyboard and translate it to the matching Arabic letter in the Arabic 101 layout.
What does WPM mean?
Words per minute, by the conventional measure: every five correct characters count as one word.
How is this different from your Arabic keyboard?
The keyboard lets you write right now without learning anything; the tutor teaches you so you no longer need a tool. One solves the problem today, the other solves it permanently.
Is what I type stored?
No, everything runs in your browser.
